Sam Hairsine
Sam Hairsine joined us in January 2026. He was a choral scholar at Lincoln Cathedral before returning to East Yorkshire, where he studied euphonium under Dr Robert Childs. On joining the Royal Marines Band Service, he studied cello under John Cullis and continued his euphonium studies with Andrew Cresci.
After performing around the world as an instrumentalist, he was selected to be a Director of Music and after a staff role he studied for his Masters in Conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music. He has led ensembles in performances around the UK, Finland, Mexico, Canada and Europe, as well as in the recording studio.
